GlobalGoods Brasil  started operating on September 30 ,1994  in Porto Alegre, Brazil. GlobalGoods Brasil, in partnership with  Global Goods Corporation, which was  created shortly afterwards, started  operating on imports, distribution and commercialization of goods  from the USA   and Asian markets. These activities were launched grounded on  the growing  trade between companies from Brazil and the international market, and on the increasing  demand for foreign products . This context took place due to  the tax reduction on imports of all sorts of goods and  also the stremlining of import procedures.

 

The beginning of  Global Goods Corporation

Global Goods Corporation started operating on October 25, 1994, in New York City, U.S.A.  It worked on identifying and fostering a supply line of products available in the US, which could be exported to Brazil in order to supply wholesale and retailers across the country.  Currently Global Goods Corporation operates exclusively providing office and financial support for overseas shipping operations with partners from all over the world.

 

 

Miami as main hub for shipment  destined to Brazil

In order to reduce the expenditures with international shipping, and to exercise a better oversight of the operations involving the shipment of goods from the US to Brazil, in 1995 Global Goods Corporation decided to start operating as an international cargo agent.  In 1995 and 1996, cooperative agreements with skilled agents on air cargo and  maritime cargo were established.

 

GlobalGoods gets licensed by DAC and DMM

GlobalGoods Brasil was officially licensed to operate as an international cargo agent by the DAC, a regulatory government agency, associated with the Air Force.  Similarly, GlobalGoods was authorized to operate as NVOCC and maritime international cargo agent by the regulating agency from the Department of Transport.  These government agencies are located in Rio de Janeiro, and they regulate the operation of the agents, enforcing the complex regulations necessary to safeguard the cargo, the people, and the companies involved in the operations.

 

GlobalGoods operates throughout Europe

GlobalGoods extended its activities in Europe in 1998 by making  operational agreements with some of the greatest companies in that continent. Such agreements covered Portugal, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Scandinavia and developing countries from Eastern Europe.

 

Goods offers total quality in operations with the Far East

GlobalGoods made an operational agreement with one of the best cargo agents of the Asian continent in 1999. After two years of informal relationship, GlobalGoods and the Hecny Group made na agreement of cooperation for the air  and maritime shipment between the main gateways of Asia and Brazil. With a remarkable  presence in China,  Hecny Transportation can, through GlobalGoods, offer the best alternatives for that market. Minimizing differences of time zone, culture and language, Hecny Transportation  created and established subsidiaries in the United States and Canada; the operations with Brazil are managed by the  Toronto and Miami offices.

GlobalGoods started operating with cargo agents established in Australia and New Zealand in 1999. In these few years of existence, GlobalGoods was able to identify excellent partners which  made it possible to provide  global coverage while appreciating the local characteristics and the peculiarities of the customers of the markets where it operates.

GlobalGoods chose its first agent in Brazil in 1996, for the port of Santos. Currently GlobalGoods has representatives at all the main ports and airports in Brazil. There are also sub-agents  whose high quality services guarantee peace-of-mind to all Global Good customers. Due to the increasing number of operations and the desire of working with discretion, professionalism and neutrality with other load agents or NVOCCs of the market, GlobalGoods opened branches  in Rio Grande, Itajaí, Curitiba and Paranaguá. These branches are able to offer the best in documentary, legal, physical and financial treatment of loads, unloads and processes.
